Art is Moving initiated the Take an Art Break Movement in 2008 and has expanded in several awesome art making directions and would love to have you join the art party fun! Feel free to dive deeply or just tap the surface of this movement – whatever feels right for you!
NEWSLETTER
Art is Moving sends out a newsletter every other month with an art break idea, a link to our most recent podcast, and awesome projects our connection are working on. We very randomly send out snail mail, too, so sign up for that if that’s your thing. Or don’t. We’ll love you either way.

Lisa and Lauren chat every other month with an art advocate using art as a way to make a positive impact in their community. We start every conversation with a question and let it organically grow from there.
ART BREAK DAY
On the first Friday of September volunteers across the globe create art making spaces and invite their community to come together to connect through art making. Join Art Break Day and make art with your community and the world as we celebrate the amazing benefits of art and the power it has to connect us with ourselves and each other.

Lisa and Lauren, the Co-founding Directors of Art is Moving, have both the academic and experience based knowledge of conceptualizing and materializing community art projects. Art is Moving is on a mission to get everyone to take an art break and have art making integrated into the daily lives of every individual.
